The first Pool Stage T20 World Cup match between two small teams was played today, Sunday,

October 17, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Al Amrat Cricket Ground, Oman.

Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood wins the toss and decides to bowl first Charles Amini also helped the team by scoring 56 runs off 43 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. Charles Amini also scored 37 runs off 26 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six. Diya and Oman were given a target of 130 runs to win. Captain Zeeshan Maqsood took 4 wickets for 20 runs in 4 over’s while Bilal Khan and Kaleemullah took 2 wickets each. Not allowed and did not allow them to score more runs on the board. In reply to Papua New Guinea's 129 runs, Omani

opener Jitender Singh played brilliant innings of 73 off 42 balls, and fellow batsman

Aqib Ilyas also scored 50 off 43 balls and won the match by 10 wickets. Made the first fifty for the t20 World Cup. The bowlers of Popova New Guyana failed miserably to dismiss the Omani players and could not defend their target.

Thus, in the first opening match of the T20 World Cup, Oman easily defeated Popova

New Guinea and clarified its position in the group stage. We have to see what kind of

performance the Omani team performs in the big competitions of the World Cup.

Whichever team will field, bowl and bat well in the T20 World Cup will be in a

position to win the tournament. It is too early to say which team will win the

T20 World Cup, however, cricket fans will get to see the best cricket.

 

Second T20 World Cup match

Bangladesh VS Scotland

Today, the second match of T20 World Cup 2021 between Bangladesh and Scotland was played at 7 am at Al-Amrit Cricket Ground, Oman. Bangladesh captain Mohammadullah won the toss and was elected to field first. Scotland's first wicket fell quickly but George Monsie played an innings of 29 off 23 balls, in which he hit 2 sixes and 2 fours. Scotland's early batsmen did not

do well, but seventh-ranked Chris Graves hit a brilliant 45 off 28 balls with four fours

and two sixes, followed by Mark Watt with two fours off 17 balls. With the help of 22 runs

scored, the remaining players also increased the runs a little bit and achieved the target

of 140 runs in the allotted 20 over’s, which was an excellent target on slow wickets.

For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hassan took 3 wickets in 4 over’s, Mustafizur Rehman and Shakib Al Hasan took 2

wickets each.

In pursuit of the target, the start of the Bangladesh team was disappointing, the early batsmen were out

early, senior batsman Shakib Al Hasan 20 runs, Mushfiqur Rahim 38, captain Mohammadullah 23 and

Afaf Hassan's 18 runs were out. No Bangladeshi batsman could play hard.

Inexperienced Scotland bowled well. The bowlers did not allow the Bangladeshi batsman to play openly,

Brad-well took 3 wickets for 24 in 4 over’s while Chris Graves took 2 wickets for 19 in 3 over’s.  

The Bangladesh team managed to score 134 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 7 wickets and could not reach the desired target. Thus, in the T20 World Cup 2021, Scotland set the first target, defeating the experienced Bangladesh team by 6 runs to make a place in the group.
