The 11th match of the T20 World Cup between Namibia vs Ireland was played today, Friday, October 22, 2021, at 3:00 PM at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in Dubai. The Irish captain won the toss and elected to bat first. The Irish team did not start batting well, played slow, and gradually increased the score, Paul Sterling scored 38 off 24 balls, Kevin O'Brien scored 25 off 24 balls while Andrew Balberny scored 21 off 28 balls. The entire team managed to score only 125 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Namibia bowled well, the bowlers did not allow the Irish team to play free strokes and
managed to get the Irish team out on very low scores. For Namibian bowlers, John Ferry
Link took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs, David Wesse took 2 wickets for 22 runs in
4 overs while Bernard Skard took 1 wicket for 25 runs in 3 overs. The Namibian openers
started the innings cautiously and did their best to win the match. For Namibia,
Gerhard Harasses played a not-out inning of 53 off 49 balls, Zaine Green was dismissed
for 24 off 32 balls while David Wiese scored 28 off 14 balls to lead the team to victory.
Namibia won the match easily by scoring 126 runs for the loss of 2 wickets with 9 balls left in the innings.
The Irish bowlers tried to defend the low total but failed. Only Curtis Kempfer bowled 2 wickets for 14
runs in 3 overs, no other bowler could take a wicket.
Namibia improved its position on the pool stage by defeating the Irish team in the
eleventh match.

The twelfth match of the T20 World Cup between the Netherlands and Sri Lanka was played at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in Dubai on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM.
The Sri Lankan captain won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Netherlands made a disappointing start to the innings, with Colin Ackerman scoring 11 off 9 balls, None of the rest of the team could enter the double-figure, and the entire team piled on the lowest score in the history of the World Cup at 44 runs, with 10 overs left in the innings. No player from the Netherlands was able to bat responsibly, the team was out one after the other. Sri Lanka's best bowlers Lairo Kumara made 3 for 7 in 3 overs, Vanidu Asnaranga made 3 for 9 in 3 overs while Maish Thiksana made 2 for 3 in 1 over. Sri Lanka achieved the target on the first ball of the eighth over. For Sri Lanka, Koshal Perera scored 33 off 24 balls and was not out. Chirath Asalanka scored 6 off 10 balls while Aveshka Fernando scored 4 off 4 balls. Scored 2 runs and won the match easily. It was very difficult to defend the modest target set by the Netherlands, the Dutch bowlers Brendon Glover outscored 1 for 12 in 3 overs while Paul Van McCain outscored 1 for 20 in 2 overs.
